The new edition of the eBook, called Preparing the ground for a brighter future, is the first of several translated versions due to be rolled out this year.
This means the important issues discussed in the handy digital publication can reach a wider audience to help further the debate on how geosynthetics can make a real impact in creating a more sustainable future.
French chapter President Nathalie Touze said: “It is important to spread the word on the important issues featured in the eBook. I’m delighted our members and other French speakers worldwide will now have access to it in their own language.”
Dr. Touze, whose Giroud Lecture, Healing The World: A Geosynthetics Solution, formed the basis of the eBook, said: “We were keen to create versions of the eBook in chapter country languages to encourage greater involvement and understanding of the IGS’s sustainability aims, both among members and industry stakeholders.
“The IGS is a truly global organisation and I’m excited to see the forthcoming new language versions of the eBook.”
