The Portuguese Chapter of IGS co-organizes with the Portuguese Technical Committee on Transportation Ge-otechnics and the Portuguese Geotechnical Society the 1st Portuguese Seminary on Transportation Geotechnics, to be held on 12 – 13 October, in Lisbon, Portugal. The themes of the seminary are the improvement, reinforce-ment and rehabilitation of transport infrastructures. The program includes special sessions on the application of geosynthetics in transportation infrastructures. Specialists from Deltares, Tencate, and Huesker are invited to pre-sent special keynote lectures.
