Educate the Educators on Geosynthetics, South Africa

The Geosynthetics Interest Group of South Africa (GIGSA) held its second ETE event in 2021, and the first of the  global ETE series to be held online. The decision to go online meant some adjustments to the schedule, for example half-day rather than full-day sessions, but with the advantage of making the event accessible to participants across Africa. Participants from South Africa (representing 5 different institutions) were joined by others from Egypt, Namibia, Sudan, UAE, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
