Hear the latest advances on calculating strains in geomembranes at a webinar next month.
Professor Richard Brachman of Queens University, Canada, will be speaking on ‘Calculating & Limiting Geomembrane Strain‘ at the online event on June 24, which will be repeated on June 25/26.
The talk, the latest event from the IGS Technical Committee on Barrier Systems (TC-B), will identify factors affecting strains mobilized in bottom liner, cover (or cap) and pond applications. Recent advances in calculating strain will also be discussed and limitations of past simplifying assumptions.
Prof. Brachman will also explore assessing the long-term effectiveness of protection layers to limit strain from overlying materials in bottom liner geomembrane liners.
