The North American Geosynthetics Society partnering with the CGS
and IAH for the 56th Canadian Geotechnical Conference from September
28 - October 1, 2003 in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. The conferences
theme is, Two Rivers, reflecting the history of the founding
of the City

the collaboration between the CGS, the International Association of Hydrogeology
and NAGS in coming together to provide this conference.
The organizing committee invites abstracts from industry, government,
and academia regarding original contributions to any facets of geotechnical
engineering, geosynthetics and hydrogeology, including soil mechanics
and foundations; physical hydrogeology; hydrogeochemistry; contaminant
hydrogeology; geoenvironmental engineering; engineering geology; cold
regions geotechnology; and rock mechanics. Papers dealing with the following
topic are especially sought: bio-engineering, erosion control, scour protection,
drainage and filtration and silt fences. Case studies and case
histories as well as papers discussing recent research and future trends
are encouraged. Preference towards a presentation or poster session should
also be noted on the submission and whether the authors are willing to
participate in a poster session if presentation time is full.
Authors of submitted papers of high quality will be invited
