Description
International Association for Engineering Geology and the environment
The aims of the IAEG ( established in 1964 ) are to promote and encourage the advancement of Engineering Geology through technological activities and research; to improve teaching and training in Engineering Geology, and to collect, evaluate and disseminate the results of engineering geological activities on a worldwide basis.

International Society for Rock Mechanics
The ISRM is a non-profit scientific association supported by the fees of the members and grants that do not impair its free action. The Society has more than 5,000 members and 47 National Groups. The field of Rock Mechanics is taken to include all studies relative to the physical and mechanical behaviour of rocks and rock masses and the applications of this knowledge for the better understanding of geological processes and in the fields of Engineering (ISRM Statutes).

International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering
The ISSMGE is the pre-eminent professional body representing the interests and activities of Engineers, Academics and Contractors all over the world that actively participate in ground engineering.

 

International Waste Working Group
The aim of the IWWG ( established in 2002 ) is to provide an intellectual forum to encourage and support economic and ecological (integrated and sustainable) waste management world-wide and to promote scientific advancement in the field.
