International Association for Engineering Geology and the environment
The aims of the IAEG ( established in 1964 ) are to promote and encourage the advancement of Engineering Geology through technological activities and research; to improve teaching and training in Engineering Geology, and to collect, evaluate and disseminate the results of engineering geological activities on a worldwide basis. |

Society for Rock Mechanics
The ISRM is a non-profit scientific association
supported by the fees of the members and grants that do not
impair its free action. The Society has more than 5,000 members
and 47 National Groups. The field of Rock Mechanics
is taken to include all studies relative to the physical and
mechanical behaviour of rocks and rock masses and the applications
of this knowledge for the better understanding of geological
processes and in the fields of Engineering (ISRM Statutes). |
